Mahindra Scorpio N Edition One spied ahead of India launch

The Mahindra Scorpio N Edition One has been seen undisguised at a dealer yard, with a new grille, special badges and a new cabin colour theme. Price and launch date are not yet announced.

Key takeaways

  • The Scorpio N Edition One has been spotted undisguised ahead of launch.
  • It gets a Lifestyler Pickup-inspired grille, Edition One badges and a new cabin colour theme.
  • Petrol and diesel engines are expected to carry over unchanged.
  • Mahindra has not announced price, variants or launch date.
  • The regular Scorpio N costs Rs 13.69 lakh to Rs 25.49 lakh ex-showroom.

The Mahindra Scorpio N Edition One has been spotted without camouflage at a dealer yard, ahead of its launch in India. Mahindra has not announced the price, the launch date or when you can book it.

What is new on the outside

The biggest change is at the front. The new grille takes its cue from the Lifestyler Pickup and swaps the regular Scorpio N's vertical slats for a layered horizontal pattern. The grille is reported to be finished in chrome.

From the side, the only visible addition is the Edition One badge, placed on the front fender and behind the rear quarter glass. If you were hoping for new wheels or body panels, nothing in the sightings points to them.

What the Edition One adds over the regular Scorpio N

Inside, the cabin gets a new colour theme, reported to be dual-tone. Beyond the trim and badges, the Edition One is expected to carry these features:

  • Level 2 ADAS
  • Ventilated front seats
  • Wireless charging
  • Connected car technology

None of these is confirmed by Mahindra, which has yet to publish the full equipment list or say which variants the Edition One will be based on. Under the bonnet, it is expected to keep the regular Scorpio N's petrol and diesel engines.

The regular Scorpio N already got a broader update in August: a 360-degree camera, a panoramic sunroof and a bigger infotainment screen.
