Ferrari Elettrica Unveiled: 1,000 HP Quad-Motor EV Recharges the Prancing Horse with F1-Derived Tech

Maranello’s Electric Leap: The 1,000 HP Ferrari Elettrica Arrives

The world of high-performance driving is being redefined, and Ferrari is leading the charge. The legendary Maranello marque has officially lifted the curtain on key technical details for its first-ever production electric vehicle (EV), code-named Ferrari Elettrica. Set for a global debut in the first half of 2026, the Elettrica is not just an EV; it is a 1,000 horsepower, quad-motor demonstration that the signature “Ferrari thrill” is not dependent on combustion alone.

This revolutionary machine utilizes a bespoke, in-house-developed Quad-Wheel Drive (QWD) system and an 800-volt architecture, promising an electric Super-GT experience that maintains the agility and emotional connection expected of the Prancing Horse badge.

The Powertrain: 1,000+ HP and F1 Technology

The Elettrica’s colossal power output of over 1,000 horsepower (more than 1,000 cv) is delivered by four independent electric motors—two on the front axle and two on the rear. Developed entirely in-house, these permanent magnet synchronous motors employ F1-derived Halbach array rotors, allowing them to spin at an astonishing 30,000 RPM at the front and up to 25,500 RPM at the rear for exceptional power density.

Table 1: Ferrari Elettrica Performance & Powertrain Specs

Feature Specification Detail
Peak Power Output Over 1,000 HP (Over 736 kW) Quad-motor All-Wheel Drive (QWD)
0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) 2.5 seconds (Target) Instant torque delivery
Top Speed 310 km/h (193 mph) Upholding Ferrari’s high-speed legacy
Architecture 800V (operating up to 880V) Enables ultra-fast charging and consistent performance
Front Motor Max RPM 30,000 RPM F1-derived Halbach array technology
Battery Capacity (Gross) 122 kWh Integrated into the chassis floor for a low center of gravity

The Sound of Silence? Not Quite.

A key challenge for Ferrari was translating the emotional sound experience of a combustion engine into the electric era. The Elettrica’s unique solution uses a high-precision sensor on the motor casing to capture and amplify the motors’ natural mechanical vibrations. This creates an authentic, high-frequency electric soundtrack—likened by engineers to an “electric guitar”—that provides emotional connection and crucial feedback to the driver without using artificial, synthetic engine noises.

Table 2: Battery, Range & Logistics

Feature Specification Market Impact
Battery Voltage 880V (Nominal 800V) Enables 350 kW ultra-fast charging capability
Range (WLTP Cycle) Over 530 km (330+ miles) Highly competitive for the Super-GT segment
Vehicle Type Four-Door, Four-Seat GT Targets new customers seeking a practical, high-performance Ferrari
Launch Timeline Global Debut H1 2026 / Deliveries Late 2026 Marks Ferrari’s official entry into the full-EV market

While Ferrari is holding back the final design reveal until early 2026, the technical unveiling provides a wealth of visuals on the revolutionary chassis.
